Meet our Principal, Ms. Donna Childs

“EXCELLENCE WITHOUT EXCUSES IS NOT just a catch phrase, it is a maxim and a standard for Ms. Childs.  As the Director of New Testament Christian Academy (NTCA), Ms. Childs strives to uphold and expect the standard of Excellence.  Her focus as a Christian Administrator is ensuring a Christ-centered and higher-level academic education for all students.  NTCA provides a venue for this type of education.  We desire for children to grow in Christ and to grow academically so that they can become productive citizens and compete in our global world.  Ms. Childs is not content with the status quo or mediocrity and strives to put guiding principles, curriculum, personnel, policies and procedures in place to catapult NTCA above mediocrity into excellence.

Her vision is for every child to become a high achieving scholar, to create a personal individualized educational plan for every student and for NTCA to become an icon for schools.

Ms. Childs began her professional career in the private sector of business and she eventually gravitated to the world of education after coaching basketball.  As a coach, she began to love working with youth and felt that she could make an impact in the world of education and with young people.

Ms. Childs is an avid advocate for Christian education and began her educational vocation as an educator at Messmer  High School in Milwaukee.  At Messmer she served as an Educator, Athletic Director, Varsity Basketball Coach, Dean of Students and Assistant Principal.  Ms. Childs has served as Director of NTCA for seven years and desires to greatly impact this Academy and this beacon of hope on 102nd & Bradley.
