Ms. Walls personal mission statement comes from this verse.
For Ms. Walls, this means that we are all children of God and he has already written our story and he knows what is to come for us. So along this life we have to be faithful and bold with our God. Speak those things as if they were and God will provide. No matter how far things may seem from coming to fruition or no matter how hard it may seem, keep seeking his face daily and asking and it will come to pass.
Another aspect that Ms. Walls appreciates about NTCA is the use of technology. She enjoys seeing her students use computers and being able to incorporate the smart board into her teaching lessons. Most of Ms. Walls students have learning technology tools at home so she tries to incorporate programs they are familiar with to enhance the learning taking place.
Ms. WALLS HAS BEEN IN THE EDUCATION FIELD since 2000, dedicating most of her time working for Private Christian Academies. She is a graduate of Marquette University with a dual degree in Public Relations and Advertising and a Master’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Human Resource Management. She is currently working on an Ed.S in administrative leadership and curriculum instruction. Outside of teaching Ms. Walls is an avid reader and loves movies. She enjoys taking trips and spending time with her daughter. She has a personal goal to visit all 50 states.
When Ms. Walls graduated from Marquette University she first entered into the business world and began working for different Public Relations companies. It was then that she was given the opportunity to mentor some middle school students and that changed her perspective on life. After volunteering more time and even taking on a second job working at a summer camp with students, she felt a call to leave the business field and to begin teaching. "For we walk by faith, not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7.
Ms. Walls left what was a comfortable place in life and began her journey as an early childhood teacher. Although she served as a counselor for high school and middle school students, her preference is early childhood. Ms. Walls loves this age because they are so innocent and they have not been jaded by life. It is during this time they will build a love for school and learning.
Ms. Walls started at NTCA in the fall of 2012 and says it has been a wonderful experience. She admires seeing how the children interact with the staff and with each other. She has not seen children being disrespectful at all, but rather has seen children encouraging each other in their learning and encouraging each other to have a relationship with God. Nicole’s daughter Aminah is in the NTC childcare and she is impressed with how the learning begins there and it is nurtured so that the children can assimilate into the NTCA culture.
